Beyond Formaldehyde
Advancing protein–DNA interaction mapping through next-generation crosslinking technology.
________
LC Scientific is developing BFPX, a photoactivated crosslinking technology designed to improve the capture of challenging transcription factor–DNA interactions for ChIP-seq and related genomic applications.
Formaldehyde has enabled decades of chromatin research, but crosslinking efficiency can vary substantially across transcription factors and protein–DNA interactions. As a result, some biologically important targets remain difficult to study by conventional ChIP-seq.
BFPX provides an alternative crosslinking strategy designed for these challenging interactions.
BFPX uses a DNA-intercalating probe and controlled photoactivation to stabilize transcription factor–DNA interactions through covalent crosslinking.
We work with researchers studying transcription factors that have produced weak, inconsistent, or failed results with conventional ChIP-seq approaches.
